Who we are...

Sponsored by Marine Corp Detachment #1155, we are Brentwood's longest running Cub Scout pack still in existence (formerly Pack 93).  Although most boys in the pack attend Ron Nunn and Loma Vista Elementary Schools, we welcome boys from any area school and faith.

What we do...

Along with two to three den meetings per month (made up of 6 - 10 boys), the pack (made up of several dens) meets the first Wednesday evening of every month during the school year at Vets Hall in Brentwood.  Other activities are scheduled throughout the year, such as a Pinewood Derby, and an overnite stay at places like the USS Hornet or Chabot Space Center.  Because Cub Scouts is a year-round program, optional outdoor summertime activities usually include Twilight Camp, bike rodeo, family camping, hiking and Scout Days at the ballpark, plus much more!

Why Cub Scouts?

For 100 years, Boy Scouts of America has been a foundation of development for millions of boys, helping them become men of strong values and character.  The cornerstone of that foundation is Cub Scouting, a year-round family program designed for boys who are in the first through fifth grade (or ages 7, 8, 9, and 10). Parents, leaders, and organizations work together to achieve the purposes of Cub Scouting, which are:
Character Development
Spiritual Growth
Good Citizenship
Sportsmanship and Fitness
Family Understanding
Respectful Relationships
Personal Achievement
Friendly Service
Fun and Adventure
Preparation for Boy Scouts
Character Connections

Friends of Scouting

Posted on Feb 18 2012 - 10:26pm

It is this time of year, when we celebrate the anniversary of Scouting, that we bring attention to Friends of Scouting (FOS).

Ever since our children were born we’ve measured their personal growth.  It may have been their physical growth, by recording their weight or placing them against the door jam and measuring their height with little lines over time.  Have you kept their school report cards to possibly measure their mental growth?
